TOEFL Writing Topic: In my country, young people have better lives than their parents had when they were young.

Ans- In my country, I strongly agree that young people have better lives than their parents did when they were young. This positive transformation is evident through various advancements and changes that have greatly impacted the lives of young individuals.

Technological progress has revolutionized the way young people live, communicate, and access information. For example, the advent of smartphones and social media platforms has created a connected world where young individuals can easily communicate with friends and family, access a vast amount of knowledge online, and engage in virtual communities. This level of connectivity was unimaginable for their parents, who relied on traditional means of communication such as letters or landline phones. The ease of access to information has empowered young people to pursue their interests, broaden their horizons, and stay informed about global events.

Improved access to education has also played a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of young individuals. Unlike their parents who might have faced limited educational opportunities, today’s young people benefit from inclusive and comprehensive educational systems. Scholarships, grants, and student loans have made higher education more accessible and affordable, enabling young individuals to pursue their academic aspirations and secure better career prospects. For instance, a student from a modest background can now enrol in prestigious universities with financial aid, unlocking opportunities for personal growth and upward mobility that their parents may not have had.

For example, young individuals can now start their own online businesses with minimal capital, leveraging e-commerce platforms and social media marketing. The ability to reach a global customer base and conduct business transactions online has opened doors to economic independence and financial stability. This entrepreneurial spirit and access to digital tools were not available to their parents, providing young people with greater economic prospects and the ability to shape their own destinies.

In conclusion, the lives of young people in my country have significantly improved compared to their parent’s generation. Technological advancements, improved access to education, progressive social changes, and expanded economic opportunities have all contributed to this positive shift. Examples such as increased connectivity, access to knowledge, educational opportunities, a more inclusive society, and entrepreneurial possibilities highlight the tangible improvements experienced by young individuals. These factors have undoubtedly created a more promising future for the youth in my country.
