Q- Some people feel they perform better when they have to finish by a strict time. Others feel they do better work if they do not have time pressure. Which best describes you? Explain why.
Ans: According to me, having a strict deadline works the best as it helps in improving my performance. The primary reason for this preference is that when there is a strict deadline, it necessitates the need to do careful planning and organisation. Then accordingly, I break down the tasks into smaller and manageable parts and allocate a specific time frame for each part. This approach makes sure that I am consistent and making steady progress towards my tasks.
Another reason is that strict deadlines help create a sense of urgency. This sense acts as a powerful motivator, pushing me to stay focused and aligned towards working efficiently. Without a deadline, it is quite easy for me to fall into the trap of procrastination, and creating a delusion that there is still plenty of time left. However, knowing that there is a set time by which I need to finish keeps me on track and helps maintain a steady work pace. In conclusion, having a strict time to finish a task works best for me as it not only promotes effective time management but also provides a source of motivation. It ensures that I am always making progress and staying focused.
