Ans: I believe that students should not solely focus on academics but also engage in sports activities. Sports are crucial for the overall development of students as they promote physical health and fitness. By engaging in regular physical activity, students can maintain a healthy weight, boost their immune system, and improve their cardiovascular health. Additionally, sports teach valuable life skills such as teamwork, leadership, discipline, and perseverance, which can be applied in various areas of life. As someone who loves playing basketball, I’ve found that the teamwork skills I’ve developed on the court go beyond the game itself. In group projects, I apply the same collaboration and coordination, making sure everyone contributes their best, just like we do on the basketball team.
Furthermore, sports can provide much-needed relief from academic pressures. Participating in sports can help students relieve stress, enhance their mood, and improve their concentration and focus when they return to their academic studies. Therefore, sports should not be viewed as a waste of time but rather as a complementary activity that positively contributes to the holistic development of students.
