Study in UK: University of Sheffield Engineering International Excellence Scholarships 2024 Applications Open

The University of Sheffield offers Engineering International Excellence Scholarships for 2024-25. The scholarships are available to students with an overseas fee-paying status applying to an undergraduate program in September. To receive the scholarship, the applicant must exceed the academic requirements of the standard UCAS offer. The benefit is an amount of  £3,000 towards the tuition fees. Students with an A-level grade of  A*AA or above or equivalent qualifications are eligible for the International Excellence Scholarship. The  University of Sheffield ranks 104 in the World (QS World Ranking 2024). Hence, it is an excellent university to study engineering in the UK.

Engineering International Excellence Scholarships 2024  Eligibility 

The eligibility requirements for the Engineering International Excellence Scholarship are as follows. 

• The student must select the University of Sheffield as his/her first choice in the UCAS application for the 2024 entry
• Must be an undergraduate student, and must be classified as an overseas fee-paying student
• Additionally, the applicant must have taken all the prerequisite subjects for the selected degree program. Some of the participating departments for the scholarship include Automatic Control & Systems Engineering, Civil & Structural Engineering, and Aerospace, among others. 

Engineering International Excellence Scholarships 2024 Benefits

The University awards the selected students a cash bursary at the beginning of their course.The exact amount of scholarship depends on the academic achievement of the student. That is, 

• Students with A*A A grade can receive an amount of £1,000
• Those with A*A*A can receive  £2,000
• Similarly, A*A*A* grade students can receive an amount of  £3,000.

The recipients will receive  £1,000 each subsequent academic year. However, for this, the student must maintain an overall percentage of  70% in the previous academic year. Moreover, the scholarships can be combined with other University of Sheffield scholarships.

No application is necessary for the Engineering International Excellence Scholarships. The scholarships are automatically awarded once the student commences their studies in the Department.
