The Universities of the Netherlands along with the Dutch government launched the Orange Tulip Scholarship Programme (OTS) in the year 2008. The scholarships are promoted and managed by the Netherlands Education Support Offices(NESOs). Additionally, candidates must know that the courses offered, application requirements and the total amount of the scholarship can vary according to the country and institution.
Who can Apply for the Orange Tulip Scholarship Programme?
Candidates can avail the benefits of OTS if they meet certain criteria set by the conducting body. Also, only eligible students considered for the scholarship. So, the eligibility criteria are as follows:
- The candidate must be a citizen of India or Indonesia.
- Candidates must not have a degree from a Dutch institution.
- Candidates must not be studying or working in the Netherlands at the time of application.
- Candidates undergo the admission process or have already been admitted to a course in a Dutch university participating in OTS.
Candidates can apply for the scholarship after they check the eligibility criteria set by the conducting body. Students can find a course in one of the OTS participating universities and then fill out the OTS form. Candidates have to attach some important documents with the form and then send it to NESO India’s official mail address: [email protected]. Moreover, the documents required mentioned below:
- Marksheets
- Details of the Work experience
- Passport copy
- GRE score(if required)
- English proficiency test
- Admission proof
Furthermore, Students will get financial aid of a maximum of INR 4 Lakh and it is applicable for a maximum of two years. Moreover, NESO will check the applications and the selection is based on two main factors: the academic performance and the work experience of the applicant.
