Study Abroad: New Measures Announced for International Students by Ontario

Ontario has announced new measures for international students to protect them better and improve the quality of post-secondary education in Ontario. Ontario is Canada’s most populated area and most of the international students reside in this part of Canada. All schools and institutions in Ontario are required to ensure proper housing facilities for new students. These new measures were announced when the Immigration minister introduced a 2-year cap for international students.

  • Universities and Colleges

Evaluation will be conducted for the various programs offered by the postsecondary educational institutions in that a limited number of candidates are enrolled so that the labor market and the global position of Ontario are protected. The programs offered should be in line with the employers so that the graduates can establish themselves better after completing their studies. Providing accommodation choices will be made compulsory for colleges and universities.
