To enhance the effectiveness as well as the success rate of the human resource capacities in science and engineering in the countries that are developing, UNESCO has planned 30 fellowship programmes.
These specific fellowship programmes will also enhance international friendship as well as understanding among the people. The fellowship programmes will start on 2nd October 2022.
The programmes offered by UNESCO are the Polish National Commission for UNESCO and the UNESCO Chair for Science, Engineering, and Technology at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland.
UNESCO invited members from different parts of Africa such as Nigeria, Madagascar, the United Republic of Tanzania, Togo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mauritius, and many more.
How the Fellowship Programme Will Prove Beneficial For You?
This specific fellowship programme will provide free tuition fees as well as proper access to the universities and the available facilities as per the local regulations for international students.
Students who are pursuing a BSc degree would be provided with a monthly allowance of 1500 PLN. On the other hand, students who are pursuing an MSc degree will receive 2200 PLN as a monthly allowance.
Therefore, the living expenses, as well as accommodation within Poland, will be borne by this specific allowance provided by UNESCO.
International students will receive an allowance from UNESCO when they arrive in Poland. This sum will always prove extremely helpful for the students as it will cover different types of activities.
The activities that will be covered by this fellowship are obligatory medical check-ups, conferences, historical visits, workshops, and seminars that are related to your study field.
UNESCO will cover different types of facilities such as air travel tickets, health insurance up to USD 50,000, and a one-time special pocket money allowance.
When the candidates follow the terms and regulations of the announcement letter properly, they will be able to choose three projects from the proposed 30 projects. The candidates will also need to contact the National Commission for UNESCO and submit relevant documents.
