DAAD has released a Press Release about its recent policy paper. However, the paper clearly states the requirement of ‘science diplomacy’ to turn around the economy. More than 50,000 international students graduate from Germany every year. Additionally, to boost this number, DAAD specifically focuses on promoting courses taught in English. However, approx. 25,000 of these students enter the professional tables every year. Prediction says, promoting English-taught courses can double the number by 2030.

DAAD Strategy

DAAD is all set to promote ‘cross-border brain circulation’. The policy paper reads, “Study abroad and joint scientific projects create long-term reciprocal ties between people and between institutions.” Furthermore, The Academic organization further states in the paper, “… increased intercultural competence of individuals are in many respects proven effects of the international exchange of students as well as of scientists.” Moreover, cross-border projects in the professional world can dim down the international terse political situations promoting sustainability.
