Study Abroad: Deadline Approaching for MPower Global Citizenship Scholarship; Apply by July 31st

MPower offers a Global Citizenship Scholarship to international and DACA students for 2024-25. The scholarships are meant for students who have enrolled in or have been accepted into a university in the U.S. or Canada that Mpower supports. This is an application-based scholarship. That is, you must apply for the award. Furthermore, to apply you must meet the eligibility criteria. The scholarship amount can cover the educational costs of studying in the U.S. or Canada. The deadline for the scholarship application is 31st July 2024. You can apply for the scholarship by visiting MPower’s official website.

MPower Global Citizenship Scholarship Eligibility 

The MPower Global Citizenship Scholarship eligibility requirements are as follows:

• You must have enrolled in, or have been accepted in a U.S. or Canadian educational institution for full-time studies.  Moreover, MPower must support the educational institution.
• You must be an international student legally allowed to study in Canada or the U.S. 
• That is, you must have a valid visa to study in the U.S. or must be protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). A U.S. permanent Green Card holder can also apply.
• To study in Canada, you must either have a Canadian study permit or permanent residence 
• However, U.S. students wanting to study in the U.S. and Canadian students wanting to study in Canada are not eligible to apply. This is because the scholarship is mainly for international students and DCA students 

MPower Global Citizenship Scholarship Benefit

The MPower Global Citizenship scholarship value is as follows:

• The grand prize winners can receive an amount of $10,000
• Meanwhile, two honourable mentions can receive an amount of $2,000

MPower Global Citizenship Scholarship Application Process

To apply for the MPower Global Citizenship Scholarship you can visit the official website of MPower Financing. Next, visit the scholarship page, and click on Apply now. You will have to fill out the application form and submit the same before the deadline.

The beneficiaries are selected solely on their essay submission. Selected students are notified of the application outcome within 8 weeks after the deadline. You must have your visa stamped to apply for this scholarship.
