The $250 million university accommodation project of the University of Auckland starts bearing results. With a capacity to house 907 residents in its fully furnished flats, the accommodation offers new hope to international students.

A new campus will open on the 01st of September 2023 at the Carlaw Park accommodation. Besides, Carlaw Park Stanley Street will house around 907 residents in its fully furnished apartments. Also, this student village along with its sister property Carlaw Park Nicholls Lane is just a short walk from the University Campus.

The University of Auckland had announced the opening of its largest student accommodation village called Carlaw Park. Earlier, the Nicolls Lane and Stuart McCutcheon House campuses are already in use offering student accommodation to around 1000 residents. Both these campuses opened in February for the students at UoK. 

The university took up this $250 million project to attract international students and also to retain domestic students. Currently, the university offers 4,400 beds in catered and self-catered residences. The aim is to stretch this number to 7,500 by 2026.

Carlaw Park Accommodation Features

The Stanley Street student village will offer single-room apartments for a rental contract of 52, 42 or 21 weeks. Each apartment will have 6 such rooms housing one student each. There will be 2 common bathrooms in every apartment. 

The height of these apartment complexes is 4 to 7 levels. A gated society, furnished lounge area, shared courtyard and inclusive bills are making students excited about this new property. These additional facilities will greatly help students during their stay.

The apartments are designed in a way that they can be availed by single students as well as those shifting with family. The property will welcome applications from students from postgraduate and undergraduate levels of studies.
