The studio flats will also have a communal lounge, workspaces and a gym on the ground floor. Moreover, bicycle storage and laundry facilities will be available in the basement. In addition, there will be a private dining room for residents with a landscaped terrace.

This development comes after a sharp increase in population in recent years, which has increased the pressure to create housing complexes.

Recent data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows that the population in Glasgow in June 2021 was 6,35,130. It has shown a decrease of one per cent compared to 6,35,640 in 2020. Of all the boroughs in Scotland, Glasgow recorded the highest population in 2021.

The proposal also points out that the number of students will soon increase, which will put pressure on accommodation, so it is very important to build student housing.

Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and has many universities such as the University of Glasgow and Glasgow Caledonian University which attract many international students.
