From March 1 onwards, the state directorate of primary education will begin online applications for admissions under the 25% reserved category quota of the Right to Education (RTE) Act. Basically, in private schools, there is a reservation of seats for children from disadvantaged sections and economically weaker sections. Additionally, this online application window will remain open for students till 17 March 2023. Also, students must have their adhaar card this time to apply for RTE admissions. If the candidates do not have their adhaar card, they shall apply for that first. Candidates must attach the receipt of the application within 90 days of admission. Otherwise, the department will be forced to cancel the candidate’s seat.
As per the trend in the year 2023, approximately, 1,01,926 seats are available for admission in 8,827 schools under the RTE admission process. Moreover, parents can apply online and proceed with the admission process on the official website where they have information about the documents required for admission.
Moreover, the state directorate of primary education stated that there was a delay in the admission process for the second phase. Additionally, this was due to the implementation of the new conditions, making the adhaar card compulsory. Additionally, it was stated that in case the beneficiaries were too young, a specific time period was proposed to the parents to secure the mandatory documents. Also, according to the new proposal, a 90-day window was granted.
