In a repeat of last year’s success, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has once again emerged as the top-ranked university in the prestigious National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2023.
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) New Delhi has secured the second position, closely following IISc Bangalore in the race for excellence.
Maintaining its upward trajectory, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi has claimed the third spot, showcasing its continued dedication to academic prowess.
The top five universities in this year’s rankings also include Jadavpur University Kolkata, making a mark at the fourth position. Whereas, Banaras Hindu University came in the fifth position. These institutions have demonstrated their commitment to delivering quality education and research opportunities to their students.
IIT-Madras tops NIRF Charts
The year also IIT Madras has dominated the NIRF Rankings 2023 in the engineering category. The prestigious institutes IIT-Bombay, IIT Kanpur and IIT Roorkee came in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions.
Along with that, AIIMS Delhi has also once again bagged the first position in the medical college category. It was followed by the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh and Christian Medical College in Vellore.
NIRF Rankings 2023 was released today by the Minister of State for Education and External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh across various categories. The categories include Medical, Engineering, Dental, MBA etc.
The rankings are released for a total of 12 categories. This year another subject category, Agriculture & Allied courses has also been included.
The NIRF University Rankings 2023 highlight the consistent pursuit of excellence by institutions across India. These rankings serve as a valuable guide for aspiring students and academic stakeholders, aiding them in making informed decisions regarding their educational journeys.
