The project, which was initially developed as a result of a current skills gap in three important industries in Lithuania, has drawn significant interest from UK universities, some of which already had agreements in place as of the end of January.  Our economy is built on information since we lack natural resources like oil, gold, and other natural resources. As a result, we are investing in and advancing these three important industries as part of our selected strategy for Lithuania. The three sectors are engineering, Technology, and life sciences. 

Life sciences (especially biotechnology), ICT, and engineering are the three industries mentioned. Some engineering disciplines in Lithuania are home to very specialized competencies, such as the production of the lasers used to cut smartphones’ cameras. Goal of Dual Degree in Lithuania

The goal of Dual degrees in Lithuania is to entice talented foreign students to study in the nation. Students will travel to Lithuania, enrol in a university supported by a partnership programme with a UK university, and eventually leave with a degree that has been “supercharged” to include both the UK and Lithuanian credentials. Also, students will be able to apply for post-graduate work visas in Lithuania that last up to three years and participate in paid work experiences. Students will also complete a semester or a whole degree programme at the UK partner institution.
