There are different types of Australian sponsorship visas. Therefore, we have provided the basic eligibility requirements for each visa category. Applicants must fulfill these basic conditions, and additional visa-specific requirements to be eligible.

Documentation for Australia Sponsorship Visa
The skilled sponsored workers need the following documentation to obtain a visa. Note; these are the general documentation requirements. Along with these documents, applicants must present visa-specific documents as well. It is also important to translate all the documents into English.
- Provide identification documents; passport (mandatory), proof of change of name
- Skills and qualifications documents such as CV/resume, proof of work experience, and documents from relevant Australian authorities that show you hold necessary registrations or licenses, among others
- Proof of English language proficiency: For example, IELTS score
- Proof of being in good health, and a police clearance certificate
- Provide partner documents such as identity documents, character documents, current marriage certificates, etc.
- Dependents under the age of 18 years – Identity documents, and character documents
- Dependents over the age of 18- proof of dependency, completed For 47a, proof of relation with the dependent or family member, and proof of financial dependency for at least 12 years.
- Nominate someone to receive correspondence (Form 956A and Form 956)
- Scan or photograph all documents (English and non-English) in colour.

Application Process for Australia Sponsorship Visa
The application process for an Australia Sponsorship visa is as follows: Before applying applicants must ensure that they have a valid passport. Applicants must also undertake the English language proficiency test and health assessment.
- To apply visit the website of the Australian Department of Home Affairs
- Send an online application by creating an ImmiAccount.
- Make sure to attach all the relevant documents, and pay the application fee
- Note the transaction reference number and wait for a decision from the embassy
- The Australian government must have previously approved the employer’s nomination
- The outcome of the visa application will be provided to the applicant in writing. If the visa is approved the visa grant number, date of visa commencement, and visa conditions details will be included.
- In case the visa application is rejected, the reasons for the same will be provided. The visa application fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
