Another Full Form of IPCC

The IPCC is also known as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. It is an intergovernmental research organization that assesses climate change under the auspices of the United Nations.

It was founded in 1988 by WMO (World Metrological Organization) and UNEP, two UN (United Nations General Assembly) organizations.

To fulfill its goal, this multinational body does not need to conduct any initiatives, studies, or regular data monitoring. The intergovernmental group’s major task was to research and analyze the most recent scientific, technological, and socioeconomic information on climate-related changes.

Objectives of IPCC

  • The major goal of the IPCC is to provide reports to aid in the implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
  • It provides stability in the atmosphere’s highly concentrated greenhouse gas.
  • The IPCC agreed and published the “Principles Guiding IPCC Work,” which recognises and describes the IPCC’s analysis and evaluation of the danger of climate change caused by humans, its potential repercussions, and viable preventative measures.
