Our days start with classes in the morning, followed by sports, clubs, and other activities in the afternoon. The academics are challenging but the teachers are incredibly supportive. They are always encouraging us to learn, explore, and think critically. Speaking of activities, there is something for everyone here! From basketball to art, drama, music, and bird watching there are countless ways to get involved and discover new passions. The best part is that these activities are not just hobbies they help us develop teamwork, leadership skills, and a sense of community. Living away from home can be scary at first, but the sense of belonging at Welham is truly remarkable. The girls here come from diverse backgrounds, yet we share a strong bond built on friendship, support, and shared experiences. Known for its rigorous curriculum and focus on critical thinking, global awareness, and personal development, the IB Diploma Programme has truly transformed my outlook towards education and life. I am constantly learning and growing, both inside and outside the classroom. Speaking of outside the classroom, Kodaikanal International School boasts a vibrant extracurricular scene. From theatre productions and debate clubs to sports teams and environmental initiatives, there is something for everyone. I recently joined the trekking club. Recently, I and my friends from the club explored the breathtaking trails around Kodaikanal. It was an unforgettable experience. Of course, living away from home can be challenging at times. Dear Shreya, I am writing to you from the beautiful Himalayas, where I am now a student at Woodstock School in Mussoorie. It has been an enriching experience so far and I wanted to let you know what it is like being a boarding student here.  Woodstock is more than just a school, it is a vibrant community. We have students from over 30 different nationalities. You can hear around 40 languages spoken on campus. It is, thus, a melting pot of cultures. This diversity promotes a unique understanding and appreciation for different perspectives, which makes our discussions extremely rich and informative.  The academic program is rigorous and challenging, but also incredibly rewarding. I am taking classes that I would not have had the opportunity to experience back home. Teachers here are highly qualified and strive to provide holistic education to each one of us. They are passionate and always pushing us to reach our full potential. One of the most special things about Woodstock is its stunning location at the foothills of the Himalayas in Mussorie. The campus offers breathtaking views of the mountains. We often have classes outdoors, owing to which we feel more connected to nature. There are countless opportunities for hiking, exploring nature, and truly appreciating the beauty that surrounds us. Being a boarder means living on campus, which has its own set of challenges and advantages. We learn to live independently, manage our time effectively, and build strong bonds with our roommates and fellow boarders. The sense of shared living is truly mesmerising and special. Even though I have new friends here, I miss you dearly. I wish you could experience this place with me. I will wait for you to visit my boarding school.
