2. PM Modi Resigns, President Dissolves 17th Lok Sabha: Prime Minister Narendra Modi resigned along with his cabinet after meeting President Droupadi Murmu, who accepted the resignation and dissolved the 17th Lok Sabha. Modi and his ministers will continue until the new government is formed.

3. Moody’s Analyst Predicts Challenges for India’s Budget Restructuring:  A Moody’s Rating analyst predicts India’s budget restructuring will face challenges due to PM Narendra Modi’s narrow election victory. BJP won 240 seats, 32 short of the majority in the 543-member house.

4. Indian Army Launches Land Restoration and Drought Resilience Campaign on World Environment Day: The Indian Army’s Spear Corps initiated a campaign for land restoration by holding events in  Agartala from May 28 to June 1. Activities included a children’s painting competition and a cleanliness drive around ‘Amrit Sarovar Lake.

5. Shaurya Goyal Tops NEET with Perfect Score: Shaurya Goyal from Punjab scored a perfect 720/720 in NEET, securing All India Rank 1. He plans to study MBBS at AIIMS, Delhi. Nationally, 67 candidates achieved the perfect score.

6. Rajya Sabha Elections Notification Issued for Kerala and Maharashtra: Notification issued for Rajya Sabha elections in Kerala and Maharashtra, including bypoll. CPI, CPI(M), and KC(M) leaders’ tenures ending. Nominations are accepted till June 13, with polling on June 25.
