Essay on Rajendra Prasad: Rajendra Prasad was born as Rajendra Prasad Srivastava. He was born in a Kayastha family on December 3, 1884, in the district of Siwan of Bihar. His father’s name was Mahadev Sahai Srivastava, he was a scholar of Sanskrit and Persian languages. His mother was Kamleshwari Devi who was a pious lady who brought up her son by telling stories from Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Rajendra Prasad was the youngest child among his siblings, with one elder brother and three elder sisters. His mother died at a young age, and he was brought up and taken care of by his elder sisters. He was married to Rajavanshi Devi in June 1896 at the early age of 12.

It was his extreme love for academics that he continued his further studies, passed a Master of Law from the University of Calcutta, and earned a doctorate in law from the University of Allahabad.

He was committed towards the Gandhian principle of rural development and promotion and made many favourable decisions.
