Admission Process

Jindal Global Law School offers undergraduate, integrated undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in the field of law to cater to the legal education needs of the students at every stage of their educational journey. In order to take admitted to any course at JGLS, a student needs to sit for the entrance examination and also ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the college for various courses.

Application Process 

A candidate needs to follow the application process in order to get admission at JGLS:

  • Visit the official website of Jindal Global Law School and click on the ‘Apply Now’ option which is available on the homepage.
  • The next window will show various UG courses, click on the admission link of the course that you want to apply for.
  • Fill out all the necessary details and click on the ‘Register’ button. 
  • Verify the Email-ID that you have registered on the website.
  • Now log into your account and complete the application form.
  • Upload all the required documents and pay the application fee online. 
  • The last step is to submit the application form.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to get admission at JGLS an applicant needs to meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the college. The table below represents the prerequisites of various courses offered by JGLS that an applicant should fulfil:

Documents Required 

Following is the list of various documents required for admission at JGLS: 

  • Marksheets of Class 10 and Class 12.
  • Academic Transcript of Undergraduate course and Bachelor’s degree certificate (if applicable).
  • Academic Transcript of Postgraduate course and Master’s degree certificate (if applicable).
  • Scorecard of entrance exam.
  • English proficiency test certificate (TOEFL / IELTS) (in case of international students whose native language is not English)
  • Statement of Purpose (SOP) (in the case of international students)
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) 
  • Essay (at least 1500 words) 
  • Letters of Recommendation (LOR)

Scholarships 

Scholarships are a great means to pursue higher studies in order to avoid any financial hurdles. To make sure students do not face any difficulty in paying JGLS fees, the school provides three major scholarships to deserving candidates.

O.P. Jindal Outstanding Merit Scholarships

In this scholarship Rs.1 lakh per year is awarded to the students who are selected on the basis of their performance in the LSAT-India admission test. 5 highest scorers in the LSAT-India test who will be taking admission in any of the following courses – a 3-year LLB programme, 5-year B.A./B.B.A/B.Com LLB (Hons.) programme and 1-year LLM programme, are awarded O.P Jindal Outstanding Merit Scholarships. 

Naveen Jindal Young Global Scholarships

The aim of this scholarship is to nurture and encourage young leaders. This scholarship award will be given to three students – 1 student from a 5-year B.A/B.B.A/B.Com LLB (Hons.) programme, 1 student from a 3-year L.L.B programme and 1 student from a 1-year LLM programme. As per the scholarship scheme, the awardees will be shortlisted on the basis of an independent selection process. The student selected from the 5-year  B.A/B.B.A/B.Com LLB (Hons.) will be awarded a 1-year programme fee and the student selected from the 1-year LLM programme will be given 50% of the programme fee.

Shallu Jindal Outstanding Wome Scholarships 

The aim of this scholarship is to encourage brilliant female students in the field of law. As per the scholarship guidelines, 2 students from each 3-year LLB programme, 5-year  B.A/B.B.A/B.Com LLB (Hons.) programme and 1-year LLM programme will be selected on the basis of an independent selection process. Each student will be awarded an amount equivalent to 50% of the 1-year programme fee.
