UPESMET Counselling Process 2023

The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Management Entrance Test is a national-level exam that is conducted online. The UPESMET counselling is administered after the MET exam. Candidates who clear the UPESMET are called for the counselling process. Candidates who have a valid CAT/GMAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT score will be called directly for counselling. UPES MET Counselling Process 2023

The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies conducts the UPESMET counselling process for admission to the MBA course. After the declaration of UPESMET results the selection process will start and the shortlisted candidates will be called for counselling.  The counselling process consists of three rounds. The first round is Ground discussion, and in the second round, document verification takes place. Candidates have to go through a personal interview in the third round. Let us look at all the rounds of the counselling process.

1. Group Discussion: The selected candidates will be called for the group discussion. Ten to fifteen participants will have to share their views on a given topic. 

2. Document Verification: After group discussion, the exam authorities will verify the documents of the selected candidates.

3. Personal Interview: In the third round, candidates will have to go through a personal interview. Candidates will be accessed on the basis of their logical and reasoning skills.

4. Final Selection: The result of the group discussion and personal interview will be released after a few weeks. The candidates will be selected based on their overall performance.

Documents Required for UPESMET Counselling

The exam authorities verify the documents of the selected candidates. Applicants have to bring all the documents to the counselling centre. Here is the list of the documents required.

• The hard copy of the UPESMET result
• Acknowledgement Fee receipt
• Scorecard of CAT/XAT/GMAT/NMAT/CMAT
• Graduation Mark sheet (both original and photocopy)
• Class 12th mark sheet (both original and photocopy)
• Class 10th mark sheet (both original and photocopy)
• Work experience certificate (if applicable)
• Migration Certificate (if applicable)
• Valid Photo Identity Card

Counselling for Bonafide Residents

15% of the seats in all programmes will be reserved for Uttarakhand residents, who must have a “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” (Permanent Residence Certificate) issued by the state of Uttarakhand’s competent authorities. If the candidate wants to be considered under this category, they must choose the option while filling out the form. The seats will be distributed according to the merit list in this category.
