How to Calculate Percentile in TANCET 2024?

Many candidates checking the TANCET 2024 result often ask how the percentile score is calculated. The TANCET percentile score shows how well a test taker performed relative to others and is not influenced by the marking scheme.

The percentile score calculation process is as follows:
TANCET Percentile Mark = Y/N × 100

In the table above provided, N represents the total number of candidates who took the TANCET exam for a specific course. Y shows the number of candidates who scored lower than a particular candidate.

For instance, if Aman scored 57 marks and wishes to calculate his TANCET MBA percentile, he needs to know the total number of MBA exam takers and the number of those who scored less than 57 marks.

For example, if 23,710 candidates took the TANCET MBA exam and 12,500 candidates scored less than 57 marks, Aman’s percentile in the TANCET MBA exam would be calculated as follows:

Y = 12,500 N = 23,710 Aman’s Percentile Score in TANCET MBA = (Y / N) × 100

According to this method, Aman’s percentile score in the TANCET MBA exam, with a score of 57 marks, would be 52.72%.
