NDA Exam Structure
The NDA Exam follows a Two-Stage Selection Process.
STAGE 1: Written Exam
This is a pen-and-paper-based exam conducted offline mode. It examines your knowledge and mental abilities in two subjects.
- Mathematics (300 Marks): This section covers topics from Class 10+2 grade level mathematics including Trigonometry, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Calculus, and Statistics.
- General Ability Test (GAT – 600 Marks): This section is further divided into two parts first one is in English and the second one is in the General Knowledge part.
- English (200 Marks): Test your proficiency in grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills.
- General Knowledge (400 Marks): Assess your knowledge of current affairs, history, geography, science, polity, and basic economics. And for the Naval Academy, Physics and Chemistry are also included in the GAT syllabus.
The total marks for the Written Exam are 900. There is a negative marking for both the Mathematics and General Ability Test sections.

STAGE 2: SSB Interview

NDA Exam Eligibility Criteria

- Must be a citizen of India.
- Be an Unmarried male candidate.
