The National Test Agency (NTA) conducted the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 Session 1, Paper I for BE/B.Tech in about 574 Centres in 287 cities including 17 cities outside India on 24, 25, 29, 30, and 31 January and 01 February 2023. The examination was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only in 13 varied languages. The NTA JEE Mains 2023 result of paper I BE/B.Tech is being declared today.

NTA JEE Main Result 2023 Released: Date and Time

The National Test Agency (NTA) declared the scores of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 Session 1 for Paper I (BE/B.Tech) in the early morning of 6th February 2023.

The NTA score of about 50 candidates has been withheld for a short period as they are under scrutiny. The cases of these candidates are being presented before a dedicated Committee separately. The NTA scores of these candidates will be released as soon as the Committee releases its final report.  

How to Check Rank in JEE Mains 2023

Following is the process to check the rank in JEE 2023 result:

  • To check the NTA scores for JEE Mains Session 1 Paper I, candidates have to visit the NTA JEE Main official website
  • Click on the notification tab titled “Results for JEE Main (2023) Paper I-BE/B.Tech”. 
  • Once you click on the link, you will find two separate links to check the NTA scores. 
  • Click on any link and you will be directed to a separate page.
  • Enter the basic details carefully and correctly:
  1. Your Application Number
  2. Your Date of Birth
  3. Security Pin
  • Once you have entered your details correctly, your NTA score for Session 1 Paper I will be displayed on the screen.

How to Calculate Marks from Percentile in JEE Mains 2023

The marks obtained by the examinees are converted into a scale ranging between 100-0 for each session of the paper. The NTA score of a candidate is calculated as follows:

100 X the Number of candidates who appeared in the ‘Session’ with a raw score equal to or less than the candidate divided by the total number of the candidates who appeared in the ‘Session’.

However, a candidate should keep in mind that the NTA score is not the percentage of marks obtained. The NTA scores are normalised scores across all multi-session papers and are based on the relative performance of the examinees in one session.

How many students appeared for JEE Mains entrance examination 2023?

A total of 8.6 lakh candidates registered for JEE Mains 2023 Paper I and 8.22 lakh candidates appeared for the examination. Similarly, for Paper II, a total of 0.46 lakh candidates registered and appeared for the examination. The total attendance for the JEE Main Engineering paper is 95.79%, which is the highest attendance for Paper-I ever since NTA started conducting the entrance test.

How many candidates scored 100 NTA score in Session 1 in Paper I (BE/B.Tech) in the JEE Mains 2023?
