ILICAT FAQs: Exam Dates
The ILI CAT application form will start tentatively between February 2023 to March 2023. However, the exam conducting body has not released the actual dates yet.
The tentative exam date for ILI CAT is April to May 2023. Candidates will be updated on their registered email and they can check on the official website of ILI.
The admit card for ILI CAT will release in the month of April 2023. Keep in mind the admit card will be available to download 1 or 2 weeks before the exam date.

ILI CAT 2023 Syllabus
There are a total of three sections in the ILI CAT exam which are Legal Aptitude, English Language and General Knowledge and Legal Aspects.
The syllabus of English Language and General Knowledge is as follows:

(3) Inference-based questions
(4) Vocabulary
(5) GK-related topics such as current events, science and technology, geography, historical events etc.
The syllabus of Legal Aspects is as follows:
(1) Constitutional Issues
(2) Crime and Law Enforcement
(3) Education, Family, and Children’s Rights
(4) Legal theories around various law subjects.
The syllabus of Legal Aptitude is as follows:
(1) Jurisprudence
(2) Constitutional Law
(3) IPC
(4) Public International Law
(5) Commercial Law (Contract and Specific Relief Act, Partnership and Sale of Goods Act)
(6) Law of Torts
(7) Law of Limitation
(8) Environmental Law.
ILICAT Exam Pattern
The exam duration of ILI CAT is 2 hours 30 minutes.
There is a total of 144 questions in the ILI CAT Entrance Exam.
The marking scheme of the ILI CAT Exam is for objective-type questions one mark for each correct answer and -0.25 marks for an incorrect answer. In Subjective type questions, 10 marks will be given for correct answers and there is no negative marking.
Exam Pattern FAQs for Viva-Voce
The total marks for Viva Voce are 20 marks.
The test venue of ILI CAT is Indian Law School, New Delhi.
The candidates eligible for ILI CAT Viva Voce have to clear the Common Admission Test and have to obtain marks out of 180.
