How is GUMAT Score vs Percentile Calculated?

The GUMAT 2023 score will be the total marks obtained by the candidates in all the sections of the GUMAT examination. The GUMAT 2023 percentile score determines the candidate’s performance in the exam. The percentile simply means, that for a given value of percentile, say 95, 95% of students have scored below you in the same exam. The score and percentile will be calculated after the conduction of the GUMAT exam.

The GUMAT question paper will consist of a total of 100 questions, divided into four sections, which are English language, Mathematics, General Reasoning and General Knowledge. The GUMAT Percentile will be calculated on the basis of the candidate’s overall rank after their final score is calculated. GUMAT Marking Scheme

A very important factor which plays its role in the calculation of GUMAT score and percentile is the GUMAT marking scheme. The GUMAT question paper is similar to any other management aptitude test, where the question paper is divided into four sections, namely General Reasoning, English language, Quantitative Aptitude/ Mathematics, and General Knowledge. The GUMAT marking scheme is as follows.

  • Every question in the exam will contain 1 mark.
  • For every correct response marked by candidates, a +1 will be awarded to the candidate.
  • The exam will not consist of any negative marking for incorrect answers or unattended answers.
  • The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes)
  • The question paper will consist of a total of 100 MCQ-based questions.
