AP ECET: Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test or AP CET is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education). The students who are Diploma holders of Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, and B.Sc graduates are eligible to appear for AP ECET.

AP ECET Exam Pattern 2023
The AP ECET consists of 200 questions all of which are multiple choice type questions carrying 1 mark each. Also, if a student answers a question there is no negative marking for it. The exam is conducted through CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode and the duration of the same is 180 minutes.

AP ECET Syllabus 2023
AP ECET is conducted for three different streams which include Engineering, Pharmacy, and B.Sc streams. The test for the Engineering stream consists of 4 sections, including Pharmacy 3 sections while the test for the B.Sc degree has 3 sections, as mentioned above.
AP ECET Eligibility Criteria 2023
Students who meet the following criteria are eligible to appear for AP ECET.
- The student should be of Indian nationality.
- They should belong to Andhra Pradesh. He/she should meet the requirements for local/non-local status as stated in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974.
- The student should have done a Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh state or any other Diploma from an AICTE-approved institution recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto for admission into the relevant B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Pharmacy courses into the diploma Courses mentioned in the following table

They should have passed the 3-year B.Sc degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized university in the state or its equivalent as stated in the table above.
- Candidates who are pursuing a Diploma course and who have passed all the subjects before admission are eligible for entry into the relevant B.E/B.Tech/B. Pharmacy courses.
- The student should have passed his/her Diploma in Engineering and Technology/Pharmacy/B.Sc degree with at least 45% marks and the candidates belonging to the reserved category should have secured at least 40% marks in order to get admission.

AP ECET Application Process 2023
- The online application form to register and apply for AP ECET will be available at this link- cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/ECET
- Following details, the applicants will be required to fill out the application form-
- Qualifying examination (Diploma or Degree) hall ticket number
- SSC or 10th class hall ticket number
- Places of study from 6th class onwards
- Caste category-Mee seva certificate number
- Income certificate-Mee seva certificate number
- Passport size photograph in .jpg or .jpeg format of less than 30Kb size
- Ration card of the family
- Aadhar card
- Payment for the application can be processed through AP online services or payment gateway (Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking). The fee for general students is Rs.600/-, Rs.550/- for OBC, and Rs.500/- for SC/ST students.
AP ECET Admit Card 2023
The admit card for the AP ECET 2023 examination will be released on the official website of the exam conducting authority. Students can find the admit cards on 12 June 2023. Students can download the admit card by logging in, using their credentials. The candidate’s name, roll number, guidelines for examination, and dates will be mentioned on the AP ECET Admit Card 2023. Students must remember to bring their admit cards to the examination center.

AP ECET Selection Process 2023
The seat allotment is based on the all-India rank achieved by the candidate, the total number of seats, and the preferences of colleges filled by the candidate at the time of filling out the application.
After this, the candidate has to to report the allotted college on the given date. If a student for some reason fails to report to the college on the stated date, the candidature of the student will be canceled and he/she also won’t be allowed to participate in any further rounds of AP ECET counseling.

Ans- The qualifying percentage marks in AP ECET is 25% of the aggregate marks in the four subjects (3 subjects for B.Sc Mathematics) which is equivalent to 50 marks out of 200. However, if the student belongs to SC/ST category there are no minimum qualifying marks that the student has to obtain in order to get ranked.
Ans- SC/ST candidates who get a seat after appearing for ECET and have an annual family income of up to 2 lakh rupees are eligible for full fee reimbursement. Also, students from BC/EBC/PwD category with an annual family income of up to 1 lakh rupees are eligible for fee reimbursement.
Ans- A candidate up to the age of 25 years is only allowed to sit for AP ECET.
