Which State is Known as Rice Bowl of India?

Andhra Pradesh is Known as the Rice Bowl of India due to the Krishna-Godavari delta region. The same term is also used for Chattisgarh State. Andhra Pradesh is a state located on the southeastern coast of India. The state has enough water for irrigation as the most significant rivers Godavari, Krishna, Penna, and Tungabhadra rivers run through the state. Also, it is located near the Bay of Bengal.  

Rice production covers up to 77% of total crop production in the state. This is the major reason behind Andhra Pradesh has the title of Rice Bowl of India.
