With the exception of dropped exams, your GPA is computed across the total number of papers taken to complete a qualification. When computing your GPA, it will be taken into account if a paper is not finished and an IC is received, as well as if you receive a fail grade (i.e. D, E).

The University of Waikato was established in 1964, in Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand after a petition was signed that viewed the university as a means to cater to the needs of the South Auckland region and the citizens of Hamilton. From welcoming its first 100 students in 1964 to becoming the fastest-growing university in New Zealand in the 1980s, to eventually establishing rapport as a forward-thinking university that offers world-class education, Waikato has become one of the most popular studies abroad options for international students in New Zealand. It is affiliated with the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL), and holds the prestigious Triple Crown Accreditation - AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA - which is held by less than 1% of the universities worldwide. The University of Waikato ranks #331in the QS World University Rankings 2023.
