The University of the Philippines is a coeducational, public research university established in 1949 as the nation's primary educational institution. It is located in the Philippines' urbanised metropolis of Quezon City. It is accredited by the ASEAN-European University Network, Association of Pacific Rim Universities, Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning, and ASEAN University Network. Scholarships

The Freeman-ASIAA Program, established by the Institute of International Education, aims to support financially challenged UU.SS.-based undergraduates who want to study in East or Southeast Asia.

Eligibility

Freeman-ASIAA scholars will be required to submit a service project proposal, which they will have to fulfill during or after their stay in the host country. They shall remain enrolled in their home university in the UU.SS., and should choose a program that their institution will credit upon their return.
