The University of Málaga is ranked 23 among all Spanish universities and 683 in the world by CWUR World University Rankings 2018-2019. The university was established in 1972 and since then it has grown rapidly. Considered to be a young and developing university it hallmarks its quality teaching, cutting-edge research and knowledge transfer. UMA offers 65 degree courses and 6 double degree programmes, 64 master’s degree, more than 21 doctoral level courses and nearly 100 courses throughout the academic year. Other than this, education mainly takes place in 18 centres with 81 faculty departments. The university is divided into the following two main campuses: El Ejido campus which houses the Faculty of Economic Science, Architecture and Fine Arts. Teatinos campus which include the Departments of Science, Philosophy and Arts, Medicine, Psychology, Communication Sciences, Education Sciences, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Technology, Social Work and Business Studies, Law and Tourism. Moreover, the University of Málaga has strong links with South Korea offering significant library holdings, languages classes and significant student exchanges.
