History, Rankings and Affiliations
Taylors University was founded in 1969 as a college and in 2006, it was granted ‘University College’ status. The construction of RM 450 million Taylor's University Lakeside Campus in Subang Jaya began in early 2007. In September 2010, it was granted university status by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, Taylo. It has been ranked among the top private universities of higher education in Malaysia. It has also been ranked at #17 in hospitality and leisure management by the QS World University Ranking 2021.
Campus, Infrastructure and Courses
Taylor's University campus is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a city known as a hub for international students. The campus is located along the lakeside and is famous among international students because of its location and state-of-the-art facilities.
Taylor’s University offers a plethora of courses in higher education, from diploma to degree, post-graduate and professional programs. The wide variety of disciplines include Medicine, Pharmacy, Biosciences, Architecture, Computer Science, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, Business, Communications, Design, Performing Arts, Hospitality, and Tourism & Culinary Arts. The university has a Research Cell that can be divided into the Center for Higher Degrees by Research; Center for Research Management; and the Center for Knowledge Transfer and Commercialisation. The university is known for its excellent infrastructural availability like a moot court, wine labs, computer labs, engineering labs, photo studio, restaurants, anatomy labs, sports and recreation centres, etc.

The university ranks among the top universities of Asia owing to its global performance. The university has an extensive list of notable alumni. Some of the notable alumni names include - Serene Lim, actress and Vanessa Tevi Kumares, Malaysian model and beauty pageant titleholder.
