The Singapore University of Social Sciences is an autonomous university which was founded in 2017. The university primarily focuses on applied degree courses in the field of social sciences, and they received their inaugural class of 2,137 graduates in 2017. SUSS is categorised into five schools, namely College for Lifelong & Experiential Learning (CLEL), UC, Institute for Adult Learning (IAL), and five other centers. There are currently 70-degree programmes that are offered through the five centers, that include S R Nathan School of Human Development, School of Business, School of Science and Technology, School of Law and School of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences. The University is located at Clementi road, and in 2014, it started full-time programmes which place emphasis on practice-oriented teaching. They set up the Institute for Adult Learning under SkillsFuture with the intention of training and further developing CET adult educators and driving innovations in CET. The Universities mission aims at creating an enriching learning experience attempting to provide education so that the learners are equipped to serve society and this lifelong pursuit of knowledge benefits all those who engage with the individual. The University strongly believes that creating a balance between education and a passion for community will create a positive and lasting effect on society.
