Pusan National University is a renowned national university in Busan, Korea's second largest city and a gateway to the Eurasian continent. Established on May 15, 1946 as Korea's first national university, it now has the status of the best national university in Korea. Pusan National University has fulfilled its mission as a regional core university and actively participated in the past 70 years of successful industrialization and democratisation in South Korea. As 2019 marks the anniversary of its founding, the university focuses on strengthening its research and educational capacity as the best national university in Korea. Its goal is to become a global research-oriented university with this overall vision “A university that is oriented towards the future of the students and a university that people love.” The university was ranked as the second best national university in South Korea. The university is famous for Mechanical Engineering.
