Based in Nanjing, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications is a public university founded in 1942. It is the first double class university of the Ministry of Education. Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications offers various telecommunication courses in each level of education, namely bachelor, masters and doctoral. It also offers several other courses in an array of fields including Material Science Engineering, Natural Science, Geography, Media and Arts, Economics, Humanities, Social Science, amongst others. The main campus of the university is situated in Xianlin, Soujincun, Sanpailou. Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications is home to more than 30,000 students out of which around 19,454 students are enrolled in undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs. The university faculty comprises of around 2,280 academic staff members in which around 40% are teaching staff. The university also has more than ten faculties that are divided in various disciplines offered by the university. Moreover, the institution is accredited by the Educational department (Jiangsu Province). It also has thirteen research institutes, which have more than 170 PhD students.
