Known for its noble causes, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine was founded in 1898 by Sir Alfred Lewis Jones. It is the world's first institution which is entirely dedicated to research and teaching in the field of tropical medicine, offering a number of courses in masters and Ph. D research programs. The institution is well known for its excellent work and research in combating TB, malaria, dengue, HIV/ AIDS and other lymphatic disorders. The students of Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine have also contributed and participated in NGOs, the WHO, and other global health organizations. The institution actively works towards eradicating diseases and improving human health in underprivileged communities.
