Kharkiv International Medical University is one of Ukraine's leading medical institutions, it is self-financed, private, and non-benefit, and is licensed by the Ministry of Education and Science in Ukraine. It was founded in the 19th century, as one of Ukraine’s first international medical universities, for the purpose of providing good quality higher education in medicine and multiple other domains. It is located in the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city, which is in northeastern Ukraine. Kharkiv is a developed city, and is a leading hub of culture, science, education, transport, and industrial development.
