Situated in the city of Spokane, Washington, Gonzaga University is a private, Roman Catholic university that was founded in 1887 as Gonzaga College. It was later elevated to the status of a university in 1912. The university is accredited by the Northern Commission of Colleges and Universities and is regarded as one of the finest multidimensional institutions in the United States. Gonzaga University houses 105 buildings that are spread on a sprawling 152 acres of campus space nearby the Spokane River, which is one-half mile from central Spokane.
