Situated in the city of Spokane, Washington, Gonzaga University is a private, Roman Catholic university that was founded in 1887 as Gonzaga College. It was later elevated to the status of a university in 1912. The university is accredited by the Northern Commission of Colleges and Universities and is regarded as one of the finest multidimensional institutions in the United States. Gonzaga University houses 105 buildings that are spread on a sprawling 152 acres of campus space nearby the Spokane River, which is one-half mile from central Spokane. The institution follows the catholic tradition of social justice and acknowledges the power of a community and relationships.

The university also comprises two large libraries in which the Foley Center Library is for undergraduate and graduate students whereas Chastek Law Library fundamentally serves the law students. Besides academics, Gonzaga University also pays special attention to intramural and club sports.
