The Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy is a state university situated in Ukraine. The Ministry of Health and Education established it on 15 September 1916. It received fourth level accreditation from the WHO and Ministry of Health and Education, Ukraine. It offers MBBS degree programs to the students. Currently, it has around 4500 students in the university in which among 700 are international students.
It comprises 1100 employees in the university in which 646 are teaching staff members, around 88 are professional doctors, and the rest of them include the academic and non-teaching staff members. The Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy also constitutes seven main faculties, which include General Medicine, Dentistry, Public health administration, pharmacy, Nursing, the Preparatory faculty of international citizens, and post-graduation courses. The courses in the university are taught in Ukraine native language and also in English language.
Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy achieved the 73rd rank among the top medical universities of Ukraine. Moreover, the main university campus constitutes eight main buildings which are having around 608 classrooms. The university has a well-equipped laboratory and library. The library comprises of more than one lakh fifty thousand books. It also constitutes well-furnished reading rooms. Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy also has its own publication house where students get the opportunity to publish their research work in the in-house publication of the university. It also offers internship programs to the students and also provides training to thousands of doctors in the university. The students also get the opportunity to have clinical residency courses at the university.
