History, Affiliations, and Rankings

Bukovinian State Medical University is one of the biggest higher instructive foundations in Chernivtsi. It is a cutting-edge multi-profile instructive establishment of the IV authorization level, included in the overall register of the WHO, Magna Charta Universitatum (Bologna, Italy), and the Association of the Carpathian Region Universities that gives qualified preparation as indicated by the evaluating arrangement of schooling. The college incorporates a clinical lyceum, Chernivtsi, Vashkivtsi, Novoselytsia, and Kovel' (Volyn') Medical Colleges, 4 clinical resources, stomatological and drug resources, the branch of post-graduate schooling, a preliminary office for unfamiliar students. Kyiv Productive Medical Institute (1931-1936) - second Kyiv State Medical Institute (1936-1944) - Chernivtsi Medical Institute (1944-1997) - Bukovinian State Medical Academy (1997-2005) - beginning around 2005 - Bukovinian State Medical University - such is a short history of the establishment and improvement of a recently framed higher school in 1931 and its change into the present BSMU. BSMU’s affiliation is with IAU. Its’s country ranking is #209 and its World Ranking is #5877.
