What are the Living Expenses for a Student in Aalborg?

You should calculate transportation costs into your overall budget along with costs like insurance, laundry, food, books, study materials, social life, trips etc. The monthly budget recommended is DKK 7500 (INR 85,983) , approximately USD 1.293, or Euro 1.008 to live in Aalborg.

Are International Students entitled to accommodation benefits?

International students may not be entitled to government accommodation benefits. If you receive any kind of benefits you´re not entitled to your residence permit can be revoked.

Can I defer my admission?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to defer the admission. You need to apply again, when the Application Portal opens in December for the September intake and June for the February intake. However, if you are offered admission and have paid the application fee it is possible to reuse this year's application fee receipt for next year’s intake.

Is Aalborg University free?

If you are a student from an EU/EEA nation or Switzerland, or from one of AAU's partner universities outside of the EU/EEA, you will not be charged a tuition fee, allowing you to study for free at Aalborg University.
