Founded in 1969, Lappeenranta Lahti University of Technology is a public-based university situated in Finland. The university has been ranked 600th amongst the world’s top universities by QS University Rankings. It has two main campuses spread across the country and the university offers various bachelor’s and master’s degree programs along with doctoral courses in a plethora of specializations of Science. The university is home to over 4,900 students out of which around 900 are international students. Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology conducts national-level research programs in its three leading research institutes. The former rector members of the university are- Erkki Kinnunen, Juhani Jaakkola, Markku Lukka, Anneli Pauli, and Viljo Immonen. The courses in the university are taught mainly in Finnish and master’s programs are taught in English as well. The university is state-funded and has been ranked amongst the world’s promising universities. The faculty staff of the university has over 800 teachers and research scholars from all over the world.
