Erling-Persson Scholarship for International Students in Public Health
Erling-Persson Scholarship for International Students is provided to students who have secured admission to a master’s level public health course at Umea University during the Autumn semester or are current students of the institution. This Umea University Scholarship is also administered by a Vice-Chancellor-appointed Committee. This financial assistance is sponsored by the Erling-Persson Family Foundation.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for International Students are as follows:
- The student must be a citizen of a country other than EEA/EU member nations and Switzerland.
- Candidate must complete their application process for the master’s level course in public health at Umea University before the application deadline.
- The applicant must pay the application fee in due time.
- While filling out the admission form at the official admission website of the university, the student must mention priority 1 for the public health master’s level course.
- Current international students of Umea University who aspire to continue their academic journey at the same institution.

Design by Umeå Scholarships for International Students
The Umea University collaborates with the Umea municipality to grant financial assistance under the Umea Scholarships for International Students scheme. Students taking admission in any design programme at the master’s level at Umea University or currently enrolled students aspiring to continue higher education in design at the same institution can also apply for the same. This scholarship is sponsored by a donation from the Umeå municipality- Umeå kommun.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for International Students are as follows:
- Applicant must not be a citizen of EEA/EU countries or Switzerland.
- The student must have successfully completed the admission process of any master’s level course in Design. This process must be concluded before the Umea University Scholarship application deadline, and the fee must be submitted in due time.
- Applicants must have mentioned a Umea University course as priority 1 while completing the admission process.

- The Vice-Chancellor-appointed Committee shortlists eligible international students.
- Shortlisted students pursuing master’s level design courses at Umeå University receive an email enlisting Design by Umeå Scholarships for International Students’ application instructions.
