UCL Application Deadline: How to Apply?

To apply at UCL for admission, follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Reviewing your Requirements

The program of study that interests you may have academic, English language, and visa requirements. 

Step 2: Making an Application

What you need to provide for the application to be processed (you must provide all of the required information before your application will be processed):

• A legitimate email address for your referee
• A certified copy of your academic record in English and in electronic format
• Your personal statement, and confirmation from your home institution. 

Your application for study abroad must receive support from your home institution. Please request that your institution send you a signed, sealed, and letterhead confirmation of their support, along with confirmation of the Study Abroad program you are applying for. As an alternative, kindly request the completion of the Host Institution Slip from your home institution/sponsor. Applications not endorsed by your home institution won’t be taken into consideration.

Step 3: Deadlines

The application deadline is March 31 for enrollment in September, whether it be for the entire year or just the Autumn Term. The deadline for submission of applications is 15 October of the preceding year for entry in January for the Spring and Summer Terms only. Applications received after the deadline may still be taken into consideration, subject to availability, if they are received by the advertised deadlines.

Step 4: What Happens Once You’ve Applied?

After the application has been submitted, applicants will receive an email. Within 48 hours of submitting your application, you should also receive an acknowledgment that it has been received and is being processed by our database. 

A decision regarding acceptance will be communicated to you as soon as possible by UCL Admissions. They will get in touch with you if they have any questions about your application, such as about your grades or prerequisites. You will also receive information about how to log on to the UCL Application Deadline Portal, which allows you to monitor the status and development of your application.

If you are chosen, you will receive an email and letter containing your offer along with an invitation to respond via the UCL Application Deadline Portal. Step 5: Accommodation

For January starters, there is no set deadline, but you are encouraged to apply as soon as you have accepted an admissions offer. We advise you to apply for accommodations as soon as you receive your offer because UCL cannot guarantee accommodations for students who plan to study at UCL for less than a full academic year.

Step 6: Applying for Visa

Three months prior to the anticipated beginning of your program of study is the earliest you can apply for a visa. You will receive more details if you choose to accept our offer to study at UCL.

Step 7: Arriving at UCL
