PTE Exam Preparation Tips
Candidates who plan to give the PTE exam often get lost in the confusion and end up rushing through things which leads to them not performing to the best of their abilities in the exam. To avoid such a situation, here are some of our PTE exam preparation tips for those starting:
Time Management
In the PTE Academic Test time management is one of the most critical components. Since there are multiple sections of the exam and each is to be covered within its specific timeframe, candidates should learn to manage their time and also prioritise sections based on their weightage.
Practice is Key
In order to constantly improve, candidates must keep practising and honing their skills. This can be done in a variety of ways including reading newspapers, listening to English music/podcasts or watching English movies. Further, candidates must also take mock tests to ascertain the extent of their preparation and knowledge.
Work on Your Weaknesses
Once candidates have spent time studying for the exam, they will be able to identify their weaknesses and strengths. Accordingly, candidates should not ignore the sections they are weak in. Instead, candidates must double down on practising extra for such sections to improve further.
FAQs
Among the three sections, the PTE Reading is considered one of the most complicated parts of the PTE exam. A large number of test-takers miss most of their points in their reading proficiency.
The fee for the PTE exam is INR 15,900.
Candidates should determine what section or task they are weak at and then focus preparation on these which include both the enabling skills (grammar, oral fluency, pronunciation, spelling, vocabulary, and written discourse) and communicative skills (listening, reading, speaking and writing).
In the above blog, the candidates will know about things to know before they embark on the PTE journey. Hopefully, candidates can use this to get a good understanding and grip on the PTE exam.
