The University of Sheffield Department of Economics is offering Masters (MSc) Scholarships to students. New students enrolling in an eligible postgraduate program can apply for this scholarship. The eligible courses are
- MSc Economics and Public Policy
- MSc Economics
- MSc Financial Economics
- MSc Finance
- MSc Money, Banking and Finance
The scholarship covers the entire tuition fee of the home students. International applicants will receive the equivalent of home fees paid for the Masters course. However, the scholarship amount is only for tuition fee purposes. Applications for the year 2024 are currently open. Interested students can apply for the scholarship before the deadline. The last date for application is on 29th April 2024. The results are expected to be announced by early June 2024.
Department of Economics Masters (MSc) Scholarships Eligibility
The eligibility requirements for the University of Sheffield Department of Economics Masters (MSc) Scholarships are as follows:
- Must be a new international student applying for an eligible postgraduate program at the University.
- Those who are intending to take a Postgraduate Loan are eligible for the award
- Moreover, home students who have been enrolled in a part-time study program can also apply for the scholarship
- However, the applicant must not have already achieved an MA-level qualification or higher
- Similarly, those who have received any other university scholarships that are equal to or higher than the value of the tuition fee are not eligible
- Beneficiaries of Department of Economics Masters (MSc) Scholarships are not eligible for the Alumni Reward discount.

The University Selection Panel accesses the Department of Economics Masters (MSc) Scholarship applications. They evaluate the applications based on the following criteria. The decisions taken by the section panel are final.
- The academic record of the student
- Personal statement provided
- Referee statements
