Study in UK: Top 3 University of Machester Scholarships for Indian Applicants 

The University of Machester offers several scholarships to indian students for September 2024 intake. The scholarships, particularly the Global Futures Scholarships and the International Excellence Scholarships, are for undergraduate and postgraduate students. These scholarships are meant to assist Indian students wanting to study at the University. As per, Prof Angelia Wilson, the Associate Dean for Internationalisation for the Faculty of Humanities, these scholarships emphasise the role played by Indian students within the global student body. The scholarships also demonstrate the university’s dedication to Indian as an academic partner. The University of Machester Scholarships are given mostly as a tuition fee discount.

Global Futures Scholarship 

The Global Futures Scholarship is available to international students. Indian students can also apply for this scholarship. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students can apply.The amount is  £21,000 for undergraduate students and £8,000 for postgraduate students. However, these are merit-based scholarships. It means only students who demonstrate academic excellence are eligible.

Humanities International Excellence Scholarship

The Humanities International Excellence Scholarship is available to students at the postgraduate level. The scholarship benefit is an amount of £2,500 for courses with tuition fees less than or equal to £28,000. On the other hand, the scholarship amount is £28,000 for students enrolling in a course with fees above £28,000. This scholarship is available to students from certain countries. For example, India, France, and Japan.

Humanities Bicentenary Scholarships

Humanities Bicentenary Scholarships are also available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. However, the scholarship amount differs based on the level of study. For example, an undergraduate student will get a tuition fee discount of  £2,000 per year of study. On the contrary, a postgraduate student would receive a scholarship worth £10,000 for one year of study. These limited scholarships are awarded based on the academic performance of the students.
