Study in UK: Applications Open for University of Nottingham South Asia Postgraduate Excellence Award 

The University of Nottingham is offering South Asia Postgraduate Excellence Award to international students. Students belonging to South Asia wanting to study Master’s at the university can apply for this award. The benefit is a tuition fee reduction between £4,000 and £8,000. Students with exceptional academic performance and passion for their chosen field of study can apply for this award. The scholarship application deadline is on  Wednesday 15 May 2024. Only full-time Masters students are eligible for this award.

South Asia Postgraduate Excellence Award Eligibility

The eligibility requirements for the South Asia Postgraduate Excellence Award are as follows: 

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Pakistan, Nepal or Sri Lanka
  • Furthermore, categorize him/her as an international fee-paying student.
  • Must have received an offer letter to study a full-time master’s (including MRes) for the academic year 2024-25. Any Master’ subject can be taken by the student.

South Asia Postgraduate Excellence Award Additional Details 

Apart from the above requirements, there are some additional requirements set by the university. These are as follows:

  • There is no requirement for the applicant to respond first to the offer letter before applying for this scholarship. However, acceptance of the offer letter is a mandatory requirement 
  • The scholarship will automatically deduct from the student’s tuition fees. This means the scholarship holder will not receive it directly as cash.
  • If the applicant qualifies for the Developing Solutions Award, the university will award them the highest scholarship available.

South Asia Postgraduate Excellence Award Application Process 

To apply for the South Asia Postgraduate Excellence Award students must have received an offer letter to study a full-time MA programme. Hence, the first step is to apply to the selected course of study. Next, visit the scholarship section of the University of Nottingham’s official website and apply for the scholarship.  However, those who have received an offer letter to study an  MRes course will have to mail the scholarship team at [email protected] to receive the scholarship instructions.
