Five Indian students have been selected for the Rhodes Scholarship for the Academic Year 2024. The Rhodes Scholarship is a prestigious fully funding scholarship available to postgraduate students to study at Oxford University. The selected students would join a cohort of 100 scholars from around the world to study at Oxford.
The 5 Rhodes Scholars-Elect for India 2024 have undergone a rigorous national selection process. Nirupama Rao, former Foreign Secretary of the Government of India, headed the selection process for the 2024 Rohdes Scholarship, which received approximately 900 applications this year. Out of these, 13 students were shortlisted, and 5 were chosen.
Rhodes Scholarship 2024: 5 Indian Beneficiaries
The selected students for Rhodes scholarships include 2 Kashmiri students, a lawyer working on internet freedom, an English major from Thiruvananthapuram, a history student who wants to build a digital archive of Kashmir’s history, and a Delhi law student wanting to work on Criminology. The students will take up the following courses at Oxford.

About Rhodes Scholarship 2024
Rhodes Scholarship 2024 is a postgraduate international scholarship. The scholarship is available to students studying at Oxfrod University. The scholarship is the world’s oldest graduate scholarship and has been available for Indian students since 1947. Each year the scholarships is available for 5 Indian students.
The Rhodes scholarship covers living expenses, tuition fees, student visa fees, International Health Surcharge (IHS) fees, and visa renewal fees, among others.
