Study in Italy: MAECI is Offering Fully Funded Scholarships for Master’s and PhD Students 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) is inviting scholarship applications from international students for the academic year 2023-24. The MAECI fully funded scholarships are provided to Masters and PhD students. Moreover, students who wish to pursue courses of Higher Education in Arts, Music and Dance (AFAM) or take up Research projects under academic supervision will also be eligible for scholarships.

The beneficiaries can receive grants starting from November 1st 2023 till October 31st 2024. 

Students wanting to pursue Italian language and culture advanced courses can get grants up to 3 months.The MAECI scholarship deadline is 9th June, 2023.

MAECI fully funded scholarships: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the MAECI scholarship are as follows.

• Master’s applicants must possess Bachelor’s degree and must be 28 of age or younger
• Similarly, Phd applicants must possess Master’s degree from a recognised institution 
• The  maximum age limit for PhD applicants is 30 years 
• Additionally, candidates need to prove their English language proficiency. For example, IELTS/TOEFL score.
• Enrolling in Italian language courses requires students to provide a B2 level certification
• The scholarship grants only to international students from developing countries who have demonstrated financial need.
• The International student must also have an excellent academic record to be eligible for the scholarship

MAECI fully funded scholarships: Benefits 

The MAECI scholarship beneficiaries will be provided with several benefits. These are listed below.

• Exemption of tuition fees and enrollment fees
• Health insurance and accident insurance by MAECI
• A monthly stipend of 900 Euros/ INR 79,736 directly credited to the student bank account
